Dr. Lanman is a 1993 graduate of Wylie High School and a 1996 graduate of Southern Methodist University. She received her medical degree from The University of Texas Medical Branch at Galveston and completed her residency at Children's Medical Center-Dallas.

Dr. Lanman and her husband Aaron, a 1992 graduate of Wylie High School, live in Wylie with their 2 children Katelyn and Brett.
