Dear Patient/Parent/Guardian,
We sincerely hope that you and your family are doing well and remain in good health as our community navigates this difficult situation with COVID-19. So many things have changed for all of us and we know this pandemic has likely brought some stress and anxiety to your family. While things look a little different in our community, our priority at Pediatric Associates of Wylie and Lovejoy Pediatrics remains the same: your child’s health. We will continue to serve your family and this community with the highest level of care.
Due to regulations put forth by the Texas Medical Board as well as recommendations from the Centers for Disease Control and the American Academy of Pediatrics, you will notice some changes in our office when you come in for your appointments.
When scheduling an appointment, our staff will ask some basic screening questions. Please notify us immediately if your answers to these questions change prior to your scheduled visit. This screening will occur again at the time of your visit. Our staff will also be checking temperatures of both the patient and accompanying family member/guardian before being brought back for an appointment.
Due to the need for social distancing, we will be limiting the number of people in our waiting room at one time.If you arrive for your appointment and the waiting room is at capacity, we will ask you to wait in your car or outside the front door until notified to enter.
Please limit the number of people accompanying the patient to the visit to one family member/guardian.
Everyone over the age of 2 years (patients, visitors, and staff) MUST wear a face mask or facial covering while in the office. (This is required by the Texas Medical Board). We understand that this might be frightening for children and it may be difficult for them to adjust to wearing facemasks or coverings. We encourage you to review the information provided by the American Academy of Pediatrics (Click Here) to help with this transition. Failure to wear a mask or facial covering will result in the appointment being rescheduled.
We look forward to seeing you at your appointment and are happy to answer any questions you may have regarding these new changes.
Sincerely,
Pediatric Associates of Wylie, P.A.
